Usability Test - Among Us

School Group Project (Not Affiliated with Intersloth)

Summary

At Milwaukee School of Engineering, I participated in a usability project with a group of two other researchers. It was 2021, and we were back in the UX lab in-person on campus. One thing we all had in common - like many others in our UX Research class - was that we had played Among Us with friends and family, because it was a great way to interact during social-distancing times. We liked that it was easy for beginners to pick up, which made it inclusive to new players with little-to-no experience playing video games.

However, were all the tasks in Among Us as intuitive as expected?

We ran moderated usability tests with four beginner players, and identified which tasks were easy to understand, and which caused uncessary frustration.
